MONDAY,
March 1st
|
Free cup of coffee for parents who come into the building to pick up a volunteer questionnaire and receive a summary of the LKS school goal.
|
The information taken from these questionnaires will assist the staff, students and the school planning council in achieving our school goals.
|

TUESDAY
March 2nd
|
Family Literacy Day
Mom, dad, uncle, aunt, grandparents! Come and read (and be read to) from 10:45 to 11:45 in support of your child’s learning.
|
In addition, we are pleased to announce a series of brief, 15 minute presentations aimed at supporting reading skills at home. Some of the presentations will include:
- Reading in the Early Grades
- S.M.A.R.T. Learning
|

Elder’s Room Introduction
Calling all 29 years olds! Time to pass along that life wisdom and help our kids succeed at the ground level.
|
Ms. Cowley will lead an introduction to the concept of an Elder’s room. We NEED you to make this work.
|
|
Let’s do lunch!
|
Extra salad bar items will be prepared so that you can stay and have lunch with your kids.
|

WEDNESDAY
March 3rd
|
PALS – Parents as Literacy Supporters
|
The parents who attended the previous PALS session chose writing as their topic. Come and interact with your kindergarten student as they learn to write!
|
|
BV Museum – Divisions 2 and 5 will be taking the bus to the art exhibit (1-2pm)
|
Contact your child’s teacher to be a part of this.
|

Monthly Assembly (9am)
|
As always, you are invited to attend!

Basketball Tournament!
|
Come cheer on the LKS teams as they take on other schools.

|
